Melissa is a Licensed Professional Counselor in Colorado, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Florida & sees patients in various countries around the world. She works with adults with OCD, BFRBs, and Anxiety & related disorders as well as children with Tourette/tics ages 8 and older. Melissa is trained in various forms of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), & Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), &Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT). Your work with Melissa may use various techniques and interventions to help you to decrease your emotional pain, establish more effective coping skills, and improve your self-esteem and quality of life.
She also offers couples counseling for those who are going through difficult life circumstances, transitions, those who want to learn effective communication skills, and create functional behaviors to be a better partner within the relationship.
Melissa has worked with a diverse client population in private practice, a juvenile correctional facility, and the Colorado Mental Health Institute in Denver and treats patients ages 18 & older.
She completed her graduate training from Regis University, receiving her Masters in Mental Health Counseling and has a Bachelor's in Communication with an emphasis in Mediation. She strives to create a trusting therapeutic relationship that helps you to achieve your therapy goals.
In her free time she enjoys hiking, jet skiing, traveling and spending time with her family and two dogs, Lucy and Mojo. She's a big fan of foreign films and sushi.
