Meet Courtney Holbrook, LCSW

Clinical Expertise
Courtney Holbrook, LCSW (she/her) is a therapist trained in the evidence-based treatments for OCD, BFRBs and Tics, including Exposure and Response Prevention, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, HRT and the ComB model, and Comprehensive Behavioral Intervention for Tics (CBIT). Courtney completed her graduate internship with Dr. Patrick McGrath at Alexian Brothers Hospital, one of the most well-respected training facilities in the country for training in CBT and ERP. Courtney is also trained in Prolonged Exposure therapy for clients struggling with various forms of trauma. Courtney works with children, adolescents, and adults of all ages to provide care for OCD, BFRB's and Tics, having treated hundreds of patients in a variety of settings.
Courtney works with children, adolescents, and adults across the lifespan and has treated hundreds of clients in a variety of clinical settings. Her approach is integrative and tailored, grounded in evidence-based care and guided by compassion. What sets Courtney apart is her lived experience as someone who has personally struggled with OCD. She deeply understands the distress, shame, and discomfort that can accompany its many subtypes. Her personal and professional background allows her to truly connect with clients and offer empathetic, informed support throughout their recovery journey. She is passionate about helping individuals overcome anxiety and reclaim their lives. Courtney is an LGBTQIA+-allied provider.
Education
Courtney earned her Master of Social Work degree from Aurora University in Illinois, with a concentration in clinical psychotherapy. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Houston–Clear Lake. She is licensed to practice in Colorado, Texas, and West Virginia. Courtney has completed extensive training and consultation in ERP, ACT, CBIT, HRT, and the ComB model for BFRBs.
Personal
Outside of her work, Courtney enjoys spending time in nature—hiking, camping, and traveling whenever she can. She cherishes time with her nieces and nephews and is a proud dog mom to two beloved “fur-children.” In quieter moments, you’ll find her reading, listening to podcasts, or watching crime shows and documentaries. Courtney values self-growth and believes deeply in the importance of self-care, both personally and professionally
